Consular officials from the American Citizen Services Unit of the U.S. Embassy in Caracas will visit Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016, to provide services to U.S. citizens living in the city and surrounding areas.
U.S. citizens may take advantage of this opportunity to:
- Renew a U.S. passport
- Notarize a document that will be used in the United States
- Voting Information
- Learn how to register in the State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)
The officials will be at the Colegio Internacional de Puerto La Cruz, located on Av. Country Club with calle Ricaurte, Barcelona 6001. Services will be provided from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants should bring originals and one set of copies of all documents they will present with their completely filled out application. To help us serve you more efficiently, please review the American Citizen Services section of the Embassy’s webpage for information about the requirements associated with the above-referenced services. Please note that, depending on the case, Embassy officials reserve the right to request that you appear in person at the Embassy to further discuss your application. Please note that the officials cannot answer questions about immigrant or non-immigrant visas.
Consular Services Fees: Fees for consular services must be paid with a Venezuelan bank cashier’s check made payable to “U.S. Disbursing Officer”, preferably from Banco Provincial. We cannot accept cash payment for consular services. Please remember to bring the check and a copy of the check with you. The following fees apply:

- Minor Passport Renewal – DS-11 – 1.050,00 Bs
- Adult Passport Card – 300,00 Bs
- Minor Passport Card – 150,00 Bs
- Notary Service – 500,00 Bs per notary signature
Passport Delivery: Passport applicants may retrieve their new passport at the Embassy in Caracas or via Zoom courier service.
If you wish to have your passport or CRBA delivered by Zoom’s private courier services, please indicate this preference at the time of interview and pay Zoom upon delivery of the document to the agency you indicated in your passport interview.
Zoom fees are based on the document’s weight. Applicants should expect to be charged accordingly for the documents they receive. The cost may vary depending on the location of delivery. Important Information Regarding the Receipt of your Passport: It is the applicant’s responsibility to claim his/her passport. Any undelivered passports will be returned to the embassy and will not be sent back out for delivery. Once the embassy receives an undeliverable passport, the applicant must come to the embassy to pick it up. Applicants have 90 days to receive their passports – via Zoom or pick-up from the embassy – from the day the passports arrive at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas. Passports not received within 90 days will be cancelled and returned to the Department.
