U.S. Embassy Caracas informs U.S. citizens that demonstrations are expected to take place at the Nunciatura, Av. LaSalle, La Florida from 12:00 p.m. on February 25, 2015 The Opposition in Venezuela will be demonstrating with the stated purpose of protesting against the recent death of students in Venezuela. We anticipate the size of the protest to be approximately 50 to 100 people.
Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
We strongly recommend that U.S. citizens traveling to or residing in (Country) enroll in the Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).
