Security Message for U.S. Citizens: Opposition Demonstration in Caracas, Venezuela June 20, 2015

U.S. Embassy Caracas informs U.S. citizens that an opposition march will take place tomorrow, Saturday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. in Caracas, Venezuela beginning at Iglesia La Guadalupe in Las Mercedes and Plaza Bolivar in Chacao and ending at Plaza Jose Marti (Brion) in Chacaito.

Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence.  You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
