Security Message for U.S. Citizens: Taxi Driver Protest, April 5, 2016

US Embassy Caracas informs U.S. citizens that taxi drivers are calling for a protest of the declining security situation in Venezuela near the Prados del Este highway in the La Trinidad suburb of Caracas today at 11:00 AM.

Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence.  You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
