Todd Robinson, Chargé d’Affaires, e.p. arrives in Venezuela
The Honorable Todd Robinson arrived in Venezuela today and assumed the post of Chargé d’Affaires, e.p. at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas.
Mr. Robinson is a professional diplomat with personal rank of Minister Counselor with more than 30 years of experience. He was recently the U.S. Ambassador to Guatemala and prior to that was Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs. He was also the Consul General and Principal Officer in Barcelona, Spain and Chief of the Political and Economic Section in Tirana, Albania. His other postings include Dominican Republic, Bolivia, The Holy See, Italy, El Salvador, Colombia, and Washington, D.C.
Chargé d’Affaires Robinson stated: “During my time in Venezuela, I’ll promote the reestablishment of relations between our two governments, and will seek opportunities to help return prosperity and democracy to the people of Venezuela.”
