Voting

The Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) is designed to help U.S. citizens abroad vote and understand their electoral rights.  Please visit the FVAP website for more information about voting overseas.

Please note that there is no provision in place for in-person voting at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas.  If you do not maintain a legal residence in the United States, please register in the state of your last legal residence. If you have never resided in the United States, please see the FVAP’s information on states that permit non-residents to vote absentee.   FVAP has more information about where to register to vote in its Frequently Asked Questions page.

If you still have questions, you can contact the Voting Assistance Officer by calling (+58) 212-975-6411, or by email at ACSvenezuela@state.gov.   Or, you can reach the FVAP through their toll-free number for callers from Venezuela: 0800-100-3678.
